We have a specific number of students that we can take for each year group. These restrictions are in place solely for health and safety reasons and to ensure we can provide the best possible care and attention to all students at HSW.
As places at Workshop are highly oversubscribed for the Infants section, we need to apply our admissions criteria for the uptake of students.
Oversubscription
In the event of there being more applicants than the number of places available in each class, priority will be given to those who have one or more SIBLING already attending. We only intend to take in new students at the start of the academic year (September) as we find that intakes during the year are disruptive and may place the new child at a disadvantage to fellow students.
Absences
If a student is absent for 3 or more consecutive weeks without prior notice or a valid reason provided to the admin office, or attendance falls below 60% in any one term, they will be taken off the register and will need to re-apply for a place at the start of the next academic year should they wish to return. However, a place may not be guaranteed. If, at any point over the year, you wish to take your child out of HSW please notify the office as soon as possible so that your child’s place can be filled in our next intake.
Parental Assistance
If a student has challenging needs that disrupt the learning of others, we will require his/her parents to assist the teachers or we will have to review the student’s place at HSW.
Fees
The current fees for HSW are: £75 per annum per student (£25 per term).
Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
We would like to kindly remind you that the provision of books and resources for students is funded by the fees that we receive. These materials and learning aids cannot be provided without funding therefore please try to pay your child’s fees either in full at the start of the year or in termly instalments at the start of each term. If, for any reason, you are unable to pay part of or the full amount, please feel free to speak to a member of the admin team.
