First Aid Kit
The Admin office must be in possession of a well kitted out First aid box at all times.
First Aid training
It is essential that there are some teachers/Admin staff who have been trained in First Aid to be present.
Arrangements should be made to make training available to those who may be interested.
Accidents & Illnesses
If in doubt always play safe and contact parents/guardians.
Accidents
If there is any doubt of the severity of the accident, notify the parents immediately. Other minor accidents should be recorded and notified to the parents at the end of the Workshop day.
Illnesses
Children who are unwell should be accompanied to the office.
Any medicines must be administered centrally at the office only if pre-instructed by the parents.
Allergies
Student registration forms should have a section where parents are required to provide this information. It is then advisable to maintain a separate record of children with allergies and the relevant class teacher to be kept informed.
